I'm all about easy dinners and if we can make it a Mexican dish than that's just a bonus in my opinion (bring on the queso and tacos). I was breaking in my new Le Creuset braiser and was kind of shooting from the hip using up all of our leftover food in the fridge when *BOOM* these delish tacos came together. Don't you love it when that happens?

The meat requires a little thinking ahead (to marinate) but everything else about this recipe is easy-peasy.

For the marinade:

We like to make bath time a family affair at our house. It is one of my favorite times of day for so many reasons.

Besides washing away the grime of the day, we are all spending time together telling stories, laughing and preparing these little hearts in our care for a great night's sleep (and preparing for some down time for mom & dad). Prop...

If you have been following along for any amount of time you know that we just added a second little one to our clan about 5 months ago.  You also know that I am an avid champion of Moms on Call which is, in my opinion, a must have guide for parents of any stage (new, second time, toddler, etc).

I could go on and on about how this little guide and the 2 extremely qualified & experienced nurses (Laura Hunter & Jennifer Walker) behind it helped get my kids on great sleeping and feeding schedule...

If you're anything like us you always have an over-abundance of berries in your fridge during the summer months.  We love to go berry picking in the summer which means we always have more than we need.  And if you don't have berries to pick the selection at Costco is amazing this time of year!  I tend to freeze them for smoothies or for future recipes but I came across this recipe for crumb bars from Jessica at A Kitchen Addiction and co...

If you know me you know that the 4th of July is my favorite holiday of the year. I love the patriotism and remembrance, bbq and family, fireworks and celebration.  I also love dressing for the occasion! I've rounded up some of my faves for mama & the kiddies this year for ya below!

Summertime is officially here and that means it's rosé season! As a wine lover, a cold glass of rosé on a hot summer night is my jam. But some days I want something a little lighter, something cold to have in hand and sip on with a little more...fizz. Enter the rosé spritzer which is pretty much everything I love about summer in a deliciously bubbly glass of goodness.  This is the easiest recipe ever - which is exactly how a summer drink recipe should be!

To be painfully honest I never saw myself as a girl mom. After having Sam and loving the dynamic of boy mom life so much I always thought about how fun it would be to raise a house full of boys. Bathtubs filled with dirt from the playground,  dragging their stinky selves through the door after practice, eating me out of house and home, wrestling with each other constantly. Sounds a little crazy coming from a girl who grew up with ONLY sisters and as someone who has dedicated a big portion of her...

Summer is in full swing down here in the south which means it's time to pull out allllll the dresses...or as I like to call them "the leggings of summer."  That's right, I said it. They are easy, breezy, and cover a multitude of sins (i.e.: all that queso you'll be eating on girls night).

From throw on and go to date night, I've combed through all of them and picked my favorites for the summer!

It's finally here!  Our big nursery reveal...although it's been done for about 2 months now we've been a bit busy with newborn/toddler life!  Fun fact: we didn't even have our doors up yet when baby girl decided to come a little early.  To be honest I have not stressed about this reno one bit.  I guess once you are on baby #2 not much matters other than having a crib to sleep in (#secondchildprobs).  Thankfully my handy father in law was able to come and help hang the doors while Dan and I were...

Being active has always been a priority for me. It keeps me sane and it makes me feel good. Coming from an athletic background I've been doing some form of working out since I was in my early teens. That didn't change when I got pregnant.  Thankfully in my first pregnancy I was able to continue regular workouts almost up until my due date.  This second time around I was able to keep it up for about 6-7 months before I had to throw in the towel and switch over to low impact walking and yoga (let'...
