EVERYDAY: 25 WEEK BUMPDATE
We are at the 25 week mark with baby girl and let me tell you...25 weeks feels more like 35 the second time around. Although it feels like it's progressing faster this time around (and it is...muscle memory is no joke), I'm in that sweet spot currently...you know, that spot after the sickness and before the swelling and general discomfort. Enjoying time with my little man before we welcome his sister into the world and enjoying our last few months as a family of three. Loving this time of year and experiencing it through a three year old's eyes! Now that he is starting to understand what this time of year is about we have started implementing new traditions. It's a lot of fun but truly a great reminder to take a step back and reflect on what this season is really about...the birth of Jesus!
One book we've been reading before bed that is really great for his age is What is Christmas? by Michelle Medlock Adams. It's simple and easy and to the point. Another one we like to read is Snowmen at Night. There's no great life lesson to this one, it's just a fun one to read and there are even hidden pictures on each page that little ones love to find!
When I look back on this time 3 years ago I remember that we were only a couple of weeks away from having our first baby. This year I'm just enjoying being pregnant during the holidays (give me all the Christmas cookies).
In true second child fashion I haven't even thought about the nursery, what we need this go 'round, finalizing a name, etc. I am putting all of that off until after the New Year because there is no shame in my #procrastination game.
