EVERYDAY: INVESTMENT PIECES (PART I)

If you're like me, you probably have have a little bit of cash and/or gift cards burning a hole in your pocket this time of year. You can almost always find great end-of-year sales too which is why this is the perfect time to purchase those investment pieces. These are the pieces that you will use a ton and/or are worth the extra money spent to keep them around for years to come. Some of these pieces include:
-Great fitting jeans
-Appropriately fitting bras and underwear
-A good fall/winter jacket
-Winter/Rain boots
-Running/Workout shoes
Today I'm talking specifically about the unmentionables...that is, the pieces you wear everyday underneath all those cute new outfits you got under the tree this year!
Here's the deal: We are in a constant state of change as women--activities, careers, marriage, motherhood--all of these things can bring changes in our bodies as well. I can say without a doubt that there have been changes in my body that came along with motherhood (hello giant boobs that seemed to deflate as quickly as they appeared...what.a.disappointment). As I work on my second pregnancy, I couldn't even tell you what size bra I wear any longer. Enter Brayola, a company that promises to find you the perfect fitting bras and underwear...without having to leave the comfort of your own home (if you've been following along for a while you know how much I appreciate the convenience of online shopping). Seems like a win-win, right? It certainly did to me and I was tired of having ill-fitting bras so I took a chance and filled out their online fitting questionnaire. They sent me an adorable set and it fit me perfectly!
What I love most about this whole process is twofold: 1. There is no risk involved. If you aren't satisfied, you can send it back and 2. You don't need to spend time in a mall or at a shop getting fitted. You try on in the comfort of your own home. With a toddler and another little one on the way I can tell you that the hours in my day that I have to myself to get things done are limited (have you ever tried to take a toddler shopping? I would rather be punched in the face). The last place I want to be is inside a fitting room getting sized for a new bra. It was so worth it to fill out the questionnaire and let Brayola do the rest of the work!
Tune in next week because I'll be rounding up the best of seasonal investment pieces at amazing prices (think coats and boots)!
Talk soon,
Casey
